Louisiana Act 541 (2022), the Computer Science Education Act, establishes the Computer Science Education Advisory Commission (CSEAC) to provide recommendations to the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education through the Department of Education for the development and implementation of a state action plan for the delivery of education in computer science in all public schools.

The purpose of the commission is to create a comprehensive statewide computer science education program that benefits all citizens, flows seamlessly between all levels of education, and meets the needs of a dynamic and competitive economy.

The scheduled dates for commission meetings are listed below and will be held at the Claiborne Building in Baton Rouge. Agendas for upcoming meetings will be posted in accordance with open public meeting laws. Materials from past meetings can be found below or on the Department’s advisory council webpage.
