The Louisiana Department of Education is excited to host the second annual Early Childhood Conference – Foundations for Success - in June 2023! The conference will take place from June 2-3, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC).
The Conference will provide opportunities for education and training for childcare providers, teachers, and administrators in all aspects of Early Childhood. The content and breakout sessions will support the following LDOE Believe to Achieve educational priorities:
- Ensure every student is on track to a professional career, college degree, or service.
- Remove barriers and create an accessible, inclusive learning experience for all children
- Provide the highest quality teaching and learning environment.
- Develop and retain a diverse, highly effective educator workforce.
Registration for this event will be on a first-come, first-served basis. As space is limited, it is encouraged to register early.

Registration and Scheduling
Registration for the Conference will open on February 3, 2023, on a first-come, first-served basis. Early Bird registration ends on March 9, 2023. Regular registration will begin on March 10, 2023, and will close on April 21, 2023, or at sellout.
There will be no onsite registration. All registrations must be completed before attending the Conference.
Educators will use the same system, Cvent, to register and build their schedules for the Conference. LDOE strongly encourages the email address used for Cvent to be the participant's individual email address. Personal email addresses have a history of blocking emails from event platforms and/or marking them as SPAM; please be sure to check your SPAM folders after registering.
Registration Fees
To help offset the cost of running a high-quality, multi-day event for thousands of Louisiana educators, the LDOE charges a nominal registration fee. This fee will cover:
- Admission to conference
- Conference sessions
- Lunch
- Enhanced Vendor Education Expo
- T-shirt
- Tote bag
All attendees will be provided with lunch on June 2nd and June 3rd.
Early Bird Registration closes on March 9th at 11:59 p.m., 2-Day Package - $65
Regular Registration opens on March 10th, 2-Day Package - $75
Participants can pay for their registration fee in Cvent using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or AMEX. The LDOE does not accept cash, checks, money orders, or purchase orders for this event.

Vendor Education Expo
The Louisiana Department of Education is requesting applications for its our upcoming Early Childhood Conference, Foundations for Success, Vendor Education Expo. The Vendor Education Expo is designed to connect early childhood educators with learning partners and non-profit organizations. The Vendor Education Expo will connect early childhood providers, administrators, and teachers with resources and support from external partners.
This year’s Early Childhood Conference will take place on June 2 - 3, 2023, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC). The Vendor Education Expo schedule is as follows:
Set Up: June 1st 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Vendor Education Expo: June 2nd 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Vendor Education Expo: June 3rd 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Vendor Tear Down: June 3rd 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Vendors should submit their application through Cvent by March 15, 2023. Applicants will be notified through Cvent of their application status by March 23, 2023.
